The National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Development of a European Index of Services production (ISP)’
The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of statistical production process and provide statistics on key areas linked to enterprises.
The main activities of the project will be developed in three areas:
Eurostat launched a second round of peer reviews in all EU member countries
Unlike previous reviews, the current peer reviews in the system of Eurostat will cover all the principles of the European Code of Practice. The approach will be auditing, i.e. a team of auditors will draw up the final recommendations for all countries - members of the European Union.
The National Statistical Institute has started work on the “Action plan for EU-SILC improvements” project
The general objectives of the project are the timeliness of the EU-SILC data and the tests in the context of the preparation of the revision of the EU-SILC. In order to fulfill the main objectives of the action the following activities are foreseen:
100th Conference of the Directors-General of the National Statistical Institutes (DGINS) and 22nd meeting of the European Statistical System Committee
The Deputy President of the National Statistical Institute, Diana Yancheva, will take part in the second meeting of the European Statistical Forum
The President of the NSI Sergey Tsvetarsky will take part in two UN Forums on Geospatial Information Management
Final conference of the project “Creation of a National Database of Social Enterprises in Bulgaria for the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP)”
Project partners are the Social Assistance Agency, the National Statistical Institute and the Central Cooperative Union. The project started at the end of May 2013 and its duration is 14 months.
