Since January 2024, the National Statistical Institute has started working on the ‘Implementation of ESA2010 and BPM6, quality improvements, and execution of the GNI control cycle’ project under grant agreement No. 101143327 – 2023-BG-NA with the European Commission.

The National Accounts Statistics is of crucial importance for policy-making and administrative purposes, which requires good quality of these data and the transparency of the sources and methods used for their compilation to be guaranteed.

In November 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) started working on the project ‘Provision of basic information for calculating purchasing power parities (PPP)’ according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission № 101140352-2023-BG-PPP.

The National Statistical Institute has started work on the ‘2024 EU-LFS eight-yearly variables on ‘young people on the labour market’ and ‘educational attainment, including education interrupted or abandoned’ project. The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission No. 101136420-2023-BG-LFS.

The National Statistical Institute has successfully finished the work on a project entitled Adult Education Survey (AES) 2022 - Statistical infrastructure under IESS in accordance with a Grant Agreement with the European Commission № 101051892-2021-BG-AES. Within the project, a statistical capacity was built to achieve compliance with the provisions of the regulations related to the current and next waves of the survey on adult education and training, in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 10 October 2019:

From the beginning of 2023, the National Statistical Institute started work on the project ‘Income and Living Conditions (ILC) - Statistical infrastructure under IESS - SILC 2024 6-year module ‘Access to services’ - Pilot collection of annual data for 2023’, which is implemented under a grant agreement with the European Commission 101122129 - 2022-BG-ILC-SILC.

The National Statistical Institute has started work on the ‘Statistics on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) 2023 and 2024’ project in accordance with Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 101101786 - 2022-BG-ICT.

In May 2023, the National Statistical Institute started work on the project ‘Development of Guidelines for environmental statistics and accounts and pilot implementation for Environmental goods and services sector data revision’ under the terms of a Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 101112756 - 2022-BG-EGD.

In March 2023 NSI started working on the project “Improvement and reorganization of demographic statistics, migration statistics and population and housing census” according to the grant agreement with the European Commission № 101101360 - 2022-BG-POP-MIGR under the Single market programme, “European statistics”.

In April 2023, the National Statistical Institute has started work on project: ‘Improving Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices, Activity 1: New methodologies for the HICP - Preparatory work towards the implementation of COICOP 2018’ according to Grant agreement with the European Commission № 101103141-2022-BG-PRS.
