Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in Second Quarter of 2019 (preliminary data)
In the second quarter of 2019, 1 219.8 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (75.7%) of them travelled only within the country, 19.1% - only abroad and 5.2% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2018 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over increased by 12.4%.
Price Indices in Agriculture, Second Quarter of 2019
The producer price index in agriculture in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 5.3% in comparison with the same quarter of 2018. The crop output index increased by 5.8%, as well as the animal output index - by 4.6%. In comparison with previous year the prices of agricultural output went up by 4.1% due to the increase in crop output price index - by 4.9% and in animal output price index - by 3.0%.
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the second quarter of 2019 was by 3.1% higher compared to the same quarter of previous year and by 2.5% compared to 2018.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Second Quarter of 2019
The total income average per household member during the second quarter of 2019 is 1 547 BGN and increases by 4.9% compared to the same quarter of 2018.
The total expenditure average per household member during the second quarter of 2019 is 1 402 BGN and increases by 5.3% in comparison to the same quarter of 2018.
The consumption of main food products average per household member during the second quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of 2018 does change.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 0.2% in the EU-28 compared to the previous quarter by seasonally adjusted data. For the same period, GDP in Bulgaria increased by 0.6%.

In the second quarter of 2019 the unemployment rate was 4.2% and the employment rate of population aged 20 - 64 was 75.7%.

Employees under Labour Contract and Gross Average Wages and Salaries, Second Quarter of 2019
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of June 2019 the number of employees under labour contract increased by 1.5% as compared to the end of March 2019 and reached 2.35 million.
In the second quarter of 2019 in comparison with the first quarter of 2019 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 4.3% getting 1 260 BGN.
Trade in Goods of Bulgaria with EU in the Period January - May 2019 (preliminary data)
In the period January - May 2019 the Bulgarian exports to the EU grew by 6.9% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 15 925.9 Million BGN while the imports from the EU increased by 2.7% and reached 16 809.6 Million BGN.
In May 2019 the exports to the EU increased by 5.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 176.8 Million BGN while the imports grew by 4.5% and added up to 3 512.0 Million BGN.
Trade in Goods of Bulgaria with Third Countries in the Period January - June 2019 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2019 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries increased by 9.1% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 8 828.7 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries decreased by 1.4% and added up to 10 426.8 Million BGN.
In the period January - June 2019 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 27 840.5 Million BGN, which is 6.3% more than the same period of 2018, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 30 508.9 Million BGN and grew by 0.4%.
