Data refers to the total number of railway accidents with injured people or with material damages and the number of accidents with heavily injured or killed persons, by the type of the accident.

All railway accidents, involving at least one railway vehicle (train) in motion, resulting in at least one injured or killed person, damage of road vehicle, track or other equipment are included.
